Workforce Development

Funded by the Workforce Development Center (WDC) and in partnership with Racine Area Manufacturers and Commerce (RAMAC), the Workforce Development Division assists local employers in several capacities, such as:

  • On-site recruitment assistance
  • Training programs and assistance
  • Employer workshops
  • Job fairs linking employers to jobseekers
  • Employer grant-related assistance

Christine Henning

Business Consultant

Christine Henning serves on the Business Services Team at the Racine County Workforce Development Center. As a Business Consultant, she provides a wide array of services to Racine County businesses related to employment and training initiatives. In addition, Christine manages the On-the-Job Training initiatives for employers willing to provide short term training.  
Henning has worked in various capacities within the Workforce Development arena, from Business Services, to Training Programs Management with various populations, to Job Seeker Services – as well as working as the Administrative Manager at the RCEDC office.  Henning holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin- Parkside.  She has been with the RCEDC since 1994.

Travis Richardson

Business Consultant


Travis Richardson is a Racine native and member of the Business Services team at the Racine County Workforce Development Center. As a Business Consultant, he specializes in training and internship opportunities for Southeast Wisconsin water businesses.  Prior to joining the team, he served as an AmeriCorps VISTA at the Milwaukee Department of City Development, developing partnerships around youth development with business, education, and community leaders.  In his spare time, he enjoys local volunteering and travelling.  Travis holds a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University and a Master of Science from Oxford University.
