InSinkErator facility to address growing demand

Seeing growing demand for its products, InSinkErator needed some upgrades.

Founded in Racine, the world’s largest manufacturer of food waste disposers for home and commercial use employs most of its 1,000 southeastern Wisconsin workers at its world headquarters and manufacturing plant at 4700 21st St.But the company had run out of space.

At the same time, it wanted to elevate its brand and image and build a space that could retain its workforce and attract future employees.Thus a plan was born for a $24 million, 85,000-square-foot headquarters and lab facility in Mount Pleasant, which company and local officials unveiled in January.
